FAQ What is a “healing session”?
It means many things to many different people. Often it means you are working with someone who can accurately mirror and reflect your strengths and challenges. It is an opportunity both to feel safe and make profound changes in your life.
What is an LCSW? In New Jersey, it means Licensed Clinical Social Worker. It is a license issued by the State of NJ to holders of a graduate degree MSW (Masters in Social Work). The licensing process includes many hours of direct supervision, years of practical clinical experience and an exam over and above the graduate degree. Individuals with the LCSW license often work in community mental health centers, hospitals and private practice settings.
What is a psychotherapy/healing session like with Audrey?
The sessions are usually conducted in person but can also be done on the phone. When we meet, we spend the first hour looking at concerns and issues. Together, we determine if we can work together and then talk about treatment directions. I use a combination of traditional and nontraditional healing modalities which may include: interactive talking, review of family history, creative practice, meditation, visualization, and breath work.
What is a workshop at the Pear Tree barn like?
There are usually between 8-15 people who come to the Pear Tree Barn for the day. I like working with other practitioners so there are usually two facilitators for the day. We frequently open the day by visiting the Sacred Stone Circle and doing opening meditation. During the remainder of the day, we may work with a variety of relaxing techniques, interactive physical and mental exercises, delicious food and time to get to know each other. Please see workshop page for listings. |
