NON TRADITIONAL STRATEGIES

Emotional Freedom Technique

“EFT is an emotional version of acupuncture except needles aren’t necessary”” says Gary Craig, founder of EFT.

This is a simple and profound healing system that anyone can do.  This technique can heal and clear  all sorts of emotional, health and performance issues. I incorporate this strategy into my work with  both children and adults. Please look to Gary Craig's website for a complete explanation of EFT and a variety of its uses. www.emofree.com

Reiki  Healing

Reiki Trainings

Reiki Level 3, master and Teacher, April 2006, Maria Murphy LMT

Reiki is an ancient , internationally recognized healing art that has helped many people through the world. A Reiki treatment consists of light touch on a fully clothed body. I lightly lay my hands on the energetic centers of your body with the intention of moving healing and light energy into them. The treatment lasts for about an hour.

Crystal Bowl

All of us connect to our world in unique ways. We  can use our senses to bring in highly specific information and healing. The crystal bowl is a way to connect through sound.  I have  several crystal bowls that are tuned to different notes on the musical scale. I use these bowls in session to promote a calm and relaxed state of mind.

Sacred Stone circle

The  Sacred stone circle  is close to The Pear Tree Barn. The circle is an additional healing space for meditation, reflection and imagery. These circles have astronomical, historical and spiritual roots in both native American and Celtic cultures.   The circle consists of 9 stones including a center stone that is can be used for solitary prayer, contemplation and meditation. The  circle  is usually a part of the workshop day and can often be included in individual sessions if indicated.
