Do I Take Insurance?
This is one of the most popular questions that I am asked. I totally understand that you want to use your insurance to cover all health and mental health services. So I thought that it would be really helpful to explain to you the insurance process!
I am a solo practitioner and I choose not to bill insurance companies for many reasons. Although, I am often covered by out of network provisions and you could ask your insurance company if you have this coverage.
If you decide to work with me, I will give you a receipt to submit to your insurance company. Once you complete your insurance claim form, you can submit it with my invoice to get reimbursed. If you are unsure about the process, please contact your insurance company.
Insurance companies are well known for making it a bit more difficult for individual practitioners to efficiently and easily receive payments. I believe that it is a bit easier for
groups and larger organizations. If you are interested in insurance coverage, then I would suggest seeking a larger mental health business.
I do expect payment at the time of service. I accept all major credit cards, HSA cards, PayPal, or checks. I will be happy to send you the insurance invoice at the time of service.
