What if you could change your life by changing your use of the prepositions, to and for. They don’t seem to be that powerful and yet they are. Take a moment to think about what stance you take in relationship to the events in your life.
Do you feel like the world is against you or for you?
Do you feel like your family likes you?
Do you have difficulty letting go of unpleasant and dramatic events and relationships?
Do you have difficulty making sense of good and bad events?
Do you feel that there is little hope for a more peaceful equitable world?
Then maybe it is time to think about these two little words. IF we view the events in our life as happening to us then we often feel like a victim. But what if these are life lessons that were important for us to learn.
My husband had an affair and left me. Or we were not happy for years.
My son went to college far away. Or I need to find my own way now.
My daughter went into the Marines and left me. Or I need to find my courage to follow what I believe in.
The pandemic took my health freedom away. Or I need to follow my intuitive knowing about my health.

So if you want to feel more neutral towards the events and people in your life. Start thinking about them being created for us. When something happens in our outer world, take a pause and wonder if there is something to be learned. Is this an opportunity to get closer to my soul’s purpose?
Did that happen to me or for me? Love to hear your thoughts about this.
Hope that you have a wonderful summer,,
