I have been working as a psychotherapist/healer for the past forty years. I received my MSW in 1979 at San Diego State University. It was one of the best decisions that I have made in my life. I love the work that I do. Being a social worker has allowed me to grow and continue to reinvent myself in all the states that I have called home.

What I understand now as I look back over my practice and my own journey is that we are either all in or out. We either embrace our spirituality or we don’t. We can no longer believe in Spirit on the one hand and then feel like Spirit is forsaking us. Every day we make hundreds of choices that create our lives.
- What we eat and drink
- Who we vote for
- How much we exercise
- Who are our friends
- What social media we watch
- How we talk to ourselves and others
- The jobs that we work at
- Who we have sex with
The list goes on….
I feel it is time to take accountability for the multiple mini and major choices that we make every day. Spirit, the universe or God is not the bad guy. Things are not being done to us. In fact, we are doing these things to ourselves. Can we start with trusting that we are special and connected to spirit and are already making conscious decisions? Then it is up to us to start listening and trusting the unconscious mind. The unconscious mind is always in connection with our higher self and guiding us wisely. When the wisdom does not feel right, then we have not connected with our higher self. When the information is something that aligns with who we already are, then listen please.
